This project on the surface does not look all that impressive, however, considering the schedule dictated (90 days), 28,000sf and invasive scope of renovation the only way to make this project successful was with some pinpoint accurate scheduling, accountability by all subs, suppliers and AHJ. The ACO project team did an outstanding job coordinating & scheduling this project with the construction team and was able to pull off a miracle delivery date. It is a first for us to figure out how to fully renovate, including replacing flooring under loaded bookshelves, with hundreds of thousands of books staying in place. The project team nailed the scope and delivery date only to have the library not open back up due to covid….geez!!

The 28,000sf renovation project schedule was set at 90 days. The scope included replacing all carpet with all the books staying in the bookshelves that were mounted to the slab with carpet to be replaced underneath the shelving as well (without moving the books).

Project included full mechanical replacement, roof replacement, interior ceiling replacement, new finishes and lighting / power upgrades.
