Last night at the CLC-AGC Volunteer Night at the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank, fun was had by all as Volunteers bagged 6,076 lbs of squash (5,063 meals) to feed hungry families in Oklahoma.
Congratulations to the Oklahoma City CLC-AGC for being the most productive baggers – beating out Tulsa’s CLC-AGC! …just saying.
Please join Bryan and his family, Thursday, November 14th for CLC OKC Volunteer Night at the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Over 675,000 Oklahoman’s will wake up today and wonder where their next meal will come from. Oklahoma ranks among the top five states in the nation in the number of people who are hungry, but thanks to donors, volunteers and advocates, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is “Fighting Hunger…Feeding Hope.”
This will be a competition between OKC and Tulsa to see who can sort the most pounds of food per hour. Come out and support your city!
Families and children are welcome to attend. If any attendee is under the age of 18 they will need to fill out and submit a consent form on arrival.
Our favorite charity, Reach Ministries, is a non-profit ministry that seeks to meet the physical, educational and spiritual needs of the children and families in our area. We partner with various local churches and other organizations to be a resource, help, and friend to those in need. Please contact www.okreach.org if you would like to get involved.
“We may not do anything but plant the seed for those who come on Thursday nights. And that is okay. Those who come must see Christ in us and we have the responsibility to serve them with love, respect and grace.” – Brenda, A REACH Ministries Volunteer
